Forra Bamboo Resort was opened in 2006 and is comprised of 13 well-designed, spacious bungalows designed to take consideration of the natural environment and to leave as much space between bungalows as possible, to give maximum privacy.
We offer the Top 15 dives in 3 marine national parks: Koh Tarutao, Koh Lanta and Phi Phi National Marine Park.
Our trip will take you across 200 nautical miles from Koh Lipe to Koh Phi Phi and back. Our classic wooden 27 metres boat Chalan 3 SeaTrekker offers you a pleasant, professional and safe way to explore the Andaman Sea and also enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere typical of Forra diving.
Forra Dive Centre was established on Koh lipe in 1997 and became a PADI facility under the management of Antoine Pantelic, a french PADI, CMAS and SDI instructor. We have excellent knowledge of the different dive sites in the Butang Archipelago and more generally in the South Andaman Sea.
Koh Lipe forms part of the Butang archipelago, which is situated to the west of Koh Tarutao. This is a group of around 20 islands; some are large and mountainous with primary rainforest and fringed by coral reefs; some are tiny rocky islets made of diorite, which is similar to granite but with less quartz.
In high season daily ferries connect Koh Lipe to several destinations in Southern Thailand, and to Langkawi Island in malaysia. In low season Koh Lipe can only be reached from Pak Barra.
